Julie Miller Lloyd began her career as an interior designer after graduating from Parsons School of Design and joining Trisha Wilson Associates in New York City. There she began collaborating on hotels around the world including, but not limited to, Disney World resorts. After moving to Dallas she worked with design doyen Marguerite Green, built a highly successful antique restoration business, and then became principal of Tompkins Lloyd Interiors.
Her love of travel and antiques often took her on extensive travels throughout Europe which eventually led her to move overseas. She spent many happy years living in Florence, Paris and eventually London.
She is known for her elevated sense of design - seamlessly combining old with new, high with low, and breaking down barriers of esthetics through the ages.
Julie has been featured in magazines & publications including Traditional Home, Domaine, Huffington Post, Dallas Morning News, The Decorista and D Home among others. Her firm was chosen to create the grand room in the Traditional Home show house for 2017. She was named best designer by D Home 2017 and again in 2018 when she put her career on pause to focus on her family. Lloyd specializes in residential, restaurant and hotel design.
